As a long-time Vonage customer, I’ve found the system and software to be robust and reliable, which is why I’m still a customer. The platform’s capabilities have been integral to my business operations, and the product itself is commendable. However, my experience with Vonage’s customer service has been severely disappointing, to the point of harming my business. Over the past few months, I have encountered numerous issues with SMS registration and have been met with delays, miscommunication, and a general lack of urgency from the majority of the support team. The company has consistently failed to honor pricing agreements and hardware commitments, leaving me feeling like just another cog in the wheel rather than a valued customer. That said, James Ransom is the one exception in this otherwise frustrating experience. When the issue finally landed on his desk, he addressed it with the speed and professionalism that should be the standard for the entire company. His timely support stands in stark contrast to the subpar service I received from others. While I highly recommend the Vonage system itself, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend their customer service. The product is excellent, but the support leaves much to be desired. If you do find yourself needing help, I hope you get someone like James—because otherwise, you might be left waiting, like I was, with serious business implications.

Now, I'm starting a small business to help bridge the gap between our older generation and technology. I guess I had such a poor experience with Zoom phone; RingCentral is a night and day difference in customer service. We got an actual person to help us with setup, yes, it was over an hour call, but it was the ENTIRE Setup. Then we got a follow up call making sure everything was set up properly and make a few tweaks. THE BEST APP/SERVICE for VOIP phone services. HANDS DOWN. We have had Jive/GoTo, then Zoom and now Cox/RingCentral.

Extremely useful tool. Use it many times a week and love it. One of the things for improvements would be to let users remain logged in from multiple apps to make it truly mobile. Sometime, I start a meeting from office computer, then switch to mobile while driving, then switch back to home computer. But this isn't working smoothly as they would not let me remain logged in both computers!

While I can’t speak to their customer service—simply because I’ve never needed to contact them—that alone says something about the reliability of the platform. What keeps me coming back is the ease of use. So many of Zoom’s features feel intuitive, and bringing new users onto the platform is simple, even for those who aren’t very tech-savvy. That accessibility makes a big difference when working across different teams and client groups. Zoom continues to roll out new features regularly, which adds ongoing value to my subscription. The amount of functionality included—screen sharing, recording, breakout rooms, webinars, and more—gives me more than enough to run everything from team meetings to client presentations. If I had one wish, it would be for a higher default clarity in image quality. But even that hasn’t been a deal-breaker. When I have a question or want to learn something new, I can usually find what I need through their help center, or from the wide range of third-party tutorials available online. Zoom’s popularity means that guidance is never hard to find. All in all, Zoom has proven to be a stable, ever-evolving platform that I trust. Antoine Vattaire was super helpful, he walked me through everything on what plan to use that fits best my needs,he helped me learn all the features in the platform. I had a deadline that I had to figure out my dialer in under 2h, and Antoine left everything aside to help me out. It's super affordable and super high quality. I recommend.

Zoom is so flexible and versatile as well as having supportive AI.
I have used Zoom for online teaching since the first Covid Lockdown. I tried Google Meet and Microsoft Teams but both were cumbersome and restricted in what I could do. I use different online learning sites with my students: zoom allows me to switch between those activities, and back to a Document view to consolidate our learning all with speed and easy navigation. I can quickly upload a document from my computer to add to the teaching session. I use my Ipad linked to my screen to demonstrate maths. I have a split screen view in zoom so the student can see the question sheet and my ipad. It is easy to set up links to meetings and the options for internet safety with passcode and restricting who can access by agreeing to admit them to a session makes this an extremely safe way to tutor students online. it is easy for younger children to use the zoom screen and my secondary students are adept at switching from the zoom screen to the document view. The most impressive feature is now the addition of AI to generate a summary of the session. THANK YOU ZOOM. someone must have been reading my mind. This now makes reporting back to parents so so so much easier and less time consuming for me. It also means I don't have to make as detailed notes on the session to follow up the next session.

This has been halved thanks to this very useful and clever AI companion which turns my teaching content into a report. UPDATED: 800.com is attempting to block or delay my number port
Update: 800.com responded after my original review and FCC complaint. Matthew from 800.com clarified their port-out process, explained the $100 administrative port-out fee, and offered to proceed with the port-out authorization by email instead of requiring the original signed payment form. I appreciate that they responded directly and worked to resolve the issue. I have authorized the port-out fee and asked them to proceed with the transfer of my 855 toll-free number to Zoom Phone. My original concern was around the wording that the port-out request would not be processed until payment was received and cleared, which I felt was confusing and concerning. 800.com has since clarified their position and is working with me to move the port-out forward. --------------------------------- Original: 800.com is attempting to block or delay porting out my 855 toll-free number unless I pay a port-out fee in advance. Their required port-out agreement states that the port request “will not be processed until payment is received and cleared.” I disputed this because FCC guidance says companies may charge porting fees, but may not refuse to port a number because the customer has not paid for porting. When I challenged this, 800.com support responded that 800.com remains the “Customer of Record (owner)” / “Subscriber of Record” for numbers in customer accounts and claimed the number is therefore not subject to the FCC restriction. However, their own Terms Section 3.5 says no party owns a toll-free number, that toll-free numbers are regulated by the FCC, that the number is assigned to my customer account, and that I may request to port the assigned number to another provider at any time. I have filed an FCC complaint regarding this issue. I am not disputing that a company may bill an administrative fee. My issue is that 800.com appears to be holding the number hostage by refusing to process the port until payment clears. In my opinion, this is an anti-customer and questionable port-out practice. I would not recommend using 800.com for a toll-free number if you may ever need to transfer it to another provider.

Top Notch Customer Care Team
Grasshopper has A LOT of information and sometimes I get overwhelmed with reading through all the instructions. I find it easier to call. I appreciate that. I have the option to use the bot or call and speak to a human every time that I call and speak to a human they understand me I understand them and my issue was resolved or questions have always been answered. So far I have been with them for almost 2 years and I love their customer service.

Having a human help us when we reach out is great. The people who help actually know the product inside and out! They are not reading from a script and giving unrelated answers. They are patient, knowledgeable and friendly. Very easy to understand and work with. They ask the right questions and provide direct, accurate answers. We've been very, very happy with the goto phone system and their support. From start to finish there were zero issues. Everything was deployed on time, just as they promised. We're very pleased!

They have great customer service! I left Ring Central for poor customer service, horrible contracts, and very difficult to use system. GoTo has all the funcitons, and when I run into a problem, they are always just a call away.

Not a power user, but happy with experience
I do NOT have very extensive and serious invovlement with GoTo, I just manage a few phones in a single office. But after trying to switch to 8x8 on advice of IT, I went straight back to GoTo in a matter of weeks. Every time I have called GoTo technical support I am talking to a person in less than 5 minutes, and they will stay on the line for a VERY long time to help you solve your problem, configure your setup, etc. After the nightmare that I had with the other company, GoTo has been so attentive and easy to use I had to leave a review to balance out my scorching one of 8x8. Every tech support person I speak to is pleasant, patient, and most importantly - insanely knowledgeable about their system. I keep waiting for them to have to ask a manager or deeper tech support and they never have to, it's very refreshing.

Knowledgeable support agents. The best in the business. Very little issues with the service main reasons I contact support is questions regarding adding new features. This was the call today, to help with an SMS issue. The problem was solved quickly and to my satisfaction.

Efficient, Structured
Hello! It was a very straightforward process, easy to follow. I looked up "Contact GoTo Support", was led to the contact page/form, I filled in the details of my issue and submitted the form, then called the number provided, putting in my case number. I didn't expect it to be addressed right then and there but it was and the issue was resolved right away. The support people I got directed to have a system they follow, so all good. Julio was very respectful and knowledgeable, immediately found the source of the issue during the remote access, so it's nice. Also great I didn't have to explain my issue too much. Julio also explained what caused the issue after it was resolved, which is very appreciated. Now I can avoid getting in trouble for the same thing next time and learn a little bit more about the system I work with everyday. Thanks again!

Been with the GO TO Phone System for over 7 months as a multi-franchised Automotive Dealer Group. Having used many phone systems over the past 35 years, GO TO has a great product. Easy to configure, simple to roll-out and GO TO is constantly enhancing their software to meet all of our customer and business needs. Great support, too!

I’m a regular user of the OpenTable app…
I’m a regular user of the OpenTable app for managing guest reservations and guest information. I also use the Togo app for communicating with guests and managing phone calls and messages. I’d love to request a feature or integration that would allow me to initiate a phone call via the Togo app when I tap on a guest’s phone number in the OpenTable app. Ideally, when I click a guest’s number in OpenTable, I’d be able to select from multiple call options—including the Togo app—similar to how some apps allow choosing between different dialers or communication tools. This would streamline our guest communication process, especially when our team is already using Togo for other guest-related actions. Please let me know if this kind of integration is possible, or if there are any APIs or settings I can use to set this up manually. Thanks so much for your help, Laura Maemone

Switching to GoTo was a no-brainer!
Switching to GoTo was one of my best business decisions of late. We recently expanded our business and needed to upgrade our phone system to grow with the business. GoTo was the best option by far. Implementation was surprisingly simple. With a little training/help from GoTo, I was able to become an "expert" very quickly. My team has been super happy with the features and ease of integration between our two locations. The same office staff supports both locations, and GoTo makes it easy to differentiate the locations based on the number they called. The GoTo team has already reached out to me for user studies more than once, even though we've been a client for less than a year. I appreciate their eagerness to improve and listen to customer feedback. One of the primary reasons I chose GoTo was because it was clear that the system could grow with our business. There's a whole set of customer management features that I'm looking forward to rolling out as soon as our growth warrants it.

Rachael Brandt was absolutely FABULOUS as we had an online session to discuss all that GoTo does for my organization! GoTo has made sending and receiving phone calls, text, and video so much easier than other platforms our company has evaluated. So much better than RingCentral. So much better than Nextiva. So much easier to use than Ooma, and better customer support!

Update: 800.com responded after my original review and FCC complaint. Matthew from 800.com clarified their port-out process, explained the $100 administrative port-out fee, and offered to proceed with the port-out authorization by email instead of requiring the original signed payment form. I appreciate that they responded directly and worked to resolve the issue. I have authorized the port-out fee and asked them to proceed with the transfer of my 855 toll-free number to Zoom Phone. My original concern was around the wording that the port-out request would not be processed until payment was received and cleared, which I felt was confusing and concerning. 800.com has since clarified their position and is working with me to move the port-out forward. --------------------------------- Original: 800.com is attempting to block or delay porting out my 855 toll-free number unless I pay a port-out fee in advance. Their required port-out agreement states that the port request “will not be processed until payment is received and cleared.” I disputed this because FCC guidance says companies may charge porting fees, but may not refuse to port a number because the customer has not paid for porting. When I challenged this, 800.com support responded that 800.com remains the “Customer of Record (owner)” / “Subscriber of Record” for numbers in customer accounts and claimed the number is therefore not subject to the FCC restriction. However, their own Terms Section 3.5 says no party owns a toll-free number, that toll-free numbers are regulated by the FCC, that the number is assigned to my customer account, and that I may request to port the assigned number to another provider at any time. I have filed an FCC complaint regarding this issue. I am not disputing that a company may bill an administrative fee. My issue is that 800.com appears to be holding the number hostage by refusing to process the port until payment clears. In my opinion, this is an anti-customer and questionable port-out practice. I would not recommend using 800.com for a toll-free number if you may ever need to transfer it to another provider.
