HostGator beats GoDaddy all day long!
I was having some issues with DNS and they walked me through it since my domains were parked at GoDaddy. I had to deal with both, which made for a good comparison. The customer service with HostGator was so much better that I went ahead and transferred my domains to HostGator ....while on the same call! GoDaddy offered to do the reverse, and assume hosting, but they kept me on hold three different times for long time periods, one time clearly just BSing me to keep me on the phone. Without a doubt, I am more pleased with HostGator.

Once the assistant was able to get me to recognize the pages he was sharing, it suddenly became clear as day.
It is a very well organized structure. (I suppose it could not function otherwise.
But now that I see the layout, I feel grealy empowered to best use my purchase which I have had for a decade or more.

Why do I always think I can fix it instead of going ahead and contacting hostgator directly? I had an issue with my SSL certificate, and the agent took care of it in minutes on my first contact. So happy for the help!
Excellent support with an excellent outcome
Preema D was very helpful and courteous with a delicate situation where an elderly client of ours, raw from the sudden and unexpected death of her husband, had accidentally deleted all her emails of condolence and other critical post death communications. Hopefully the admins will take a similar stance when it comes to restoration of the account and the charges normally involved given the tragic circumstances. I can now confirm the admins were very understanding and have successfully restored all our client's emails. A big thank you to everyone. All in all a 10/10 experience.

This is the second time in 18 years that I contacted HostGator for support and got it INSTANTLY with wonderful customer service! The first time was over the phone in the late hours of Christmas Eve and this time it was through Chat at 10pm EST. I appreciate the clear communication and help when I'm unable to help myself!
Seasoned Cloud Service Provider uses Hostgator for his presence
I have been a Hostgator user for almost 20 years. I have not always needed a lot of help, however EVERYTIME I have, they have been 100% top notch. I am not a novice in IT, yet due to their excellent customer service and overall reliable service offering and while my career is Cloud Service Implementations, I have never felt compelled to move away, save a buck or anything. They offer a GREAT service and suite of products.

I had an issue with my SSL certificate. I contacted Hostgator through chat. The tech idetified the problem and fixed it. Kept me in the loop on what he was doing. I am completely satisfied by the service and would recommend them to others.
