First the general : I've been testing out a number of Canadian webhosts of late, and so far, IONOS has stood out in literally every way. From their pricing to their 24/7 support to the really smart design and built-in problem-avoidance in the UX, I have been repeatedly impressed by the thought and care for the client experience that seems to underlie much of the work I've encountered so far. Now the specific call : My most recent experience was simply that I needed to connect a new domain to an existing VPS (something I shouldn't have needed guidance in, but it's been day, folks). The rep that picked up - Camille - was super helpful, friendly, and both guided me and then stepped back from guiding me once I caught where I needed to be looking. It's a hard balance to strike, but it was definitely nailed in this call. Additional and super relevant to why I am impressed by this company in general : a day or so back, one IONOS support rep made a small error in the info I was given, which caused a delay as well as some financial cost due to me unnecessarily upgrading a third party service as a result. Their response was to acknowledge the mistake, discuss what they'd be doing to avoid it happening again, and credit me the small but nonetheless real hit I'd taken. There was no hassle, trying to avoid responsibility or anything like that. Just an honest mistake made, acknowledged, and made up for. A rarity in my recent experiences, and one that makes me feel quite confident that I'll be moving more over to their system as the year progresses.
