Initial signup had a momentary glitch in the automation, but the Namecheap staff helped in real-time to sort it out. They were engaged and worked with me, not just walking through a support script. More recently I renewed my domain, something I've held for over 20 years, for an over 5 years during a registration sale. I have a "local" ISP in NYC, whose staff I know both professionally and socially. They use Namecheap and recommended Namecheap when my previous registrar didn't want to handle "consumer" (i.e. non-business) renewals without my former ISP (which had left "consumer" space 2 years earlier). As someone who built and ran infrastructure and tooling for a successful startup, and has 20+ more years in tech since then, this is the sort of professionalism that I expect. They get it right and if there are any problems, they are directly available and can assist at the customer's level of experience and expertise, from beginner to seasoned pro.

I've been a customer since 2011. Namecheap's prices are great and the support is excellent! I don't chat with their new Suzy Q AI, I always ask to be transferred to live support (human support) - but I don't use the self-checkout in grocery stores either. Great news today that the SSL certicicates will be auto-reissued now instead of manually which I've done for years. Thanks, Namecheap!
