Another One of the Internet's Boring-but-Essential Utilities Namecheap is one of those services that falls into the "internet utility" category. It's not exciting, but you need it, and you need it to be reliable. Which it is. They've got all your everyday .coms and .co.uks, but where they really shine is the weird and wonderful stuff. If you're after rare or niche domain name extensions, Namecheap has them. It's a great place to browse when you need something a bit different. Not much more to say, really. It works, it's dependable, and that's exactly what you want from a domain registrar.

I left Godaddy because they continued to go up on prices year after year, plus their email requirements also added to the yearly costs. I delayed moving my domains AND email services to Namecheap for a year or more because I was afraid of the hassle that might lie ahead. There was absolutely no setup hassle and I am saving a meaningful amount of money compared to what I was spending at Godaddy. I couldn't be happier!

I don't have any websites just now, but since 2012, I have had 4 to 5. I still have 3 domain names in Namecheap for future websites.
