Awesome platform that is getting way too much hate for no reason. The shops work great and make sooo many processes easier, especially payment, that are not available with any other store provider.

Surprised to see all the negative reviews, but I have been using Shopify for almost a year now and it works like a charm. There is also a great ecosystem for support, that you can do so much with their platform

Very glad I made the switch to Shopify. It's a little more expensive but the functionality is amazing if you want to grow. App add on costs can build but it's worth it for the right apps. I find the customer service very supportive too. Thank you Shopify

Easy to use - just about to hit 100 orders in just 2 months

We just processed our 10,000th Order through Shopify. I'm not sure why there are so many bad reviews, but we love it. Is it perfect? No, nothing is, but it is very powerful, and I have been doing this for 4 years. I am always learning and implementing new things to make it better. It can be confusing, very confusing, but my experience with almost every issue with support has been positive. Are there things I wish I could do? I can't, yes, probably, but most of that is on me for one of two reasons: 1.) I'm not smart enough to figure it out or even ask the right questions, or 2.) I don't want to pay someone or for an app to make it work when there is a solution. The one thing new users need to understand is that it is very powerful, and you need to walk before you run. There are a ton of add-on apps to help you, but they can slowly and sneakily drain your profits. The hardest thing for me to master, and I still haven't, is Shipping. I sell luggage and ship what is basically large empty boxes. Getting the shipping correct is an issue I have yet to conquer. Lastly let me say my store is far from perfect, and isn't all that I want it to be... But it works for us... with nearly $700,000 in sales both online and in our store front... we are doing ok... B. I have had so many crazy ideas which I had no clue how to do them, but you mess around enough and you will get it, all without any coding. I don't know if this skill is good to have but I love Wix because I can make anything and solve any problem. A bit expensive though, that I don't like.

I messed up my backend php. GoDaddy phone support was super efficient. diagnosed the problem. I asked them to install last week's archived site, and they will do this. Yes, it costs, but after three days of messing with code and using ChatGPT, I was glad to pay to resolve the mess!

What I like most about Squarespace is that I am not bombarded with promotions. No - Squarespace is a serious platform for developing a website: it reliably works as described in the excellent help files and on the rare occasions of needing help the response is prompt, friendly and supportive (unlike some services which simply refer you to online help you have already digested). No coding skills are needed. There are plenty of blocks and sections to meet most needs and help quickly to create appealing designs. It is just a great platform - strongly recommend it.

This is an easy platform to use and help is on hand if you need it. My job in 2026 is to use all the free marketing tools to improve my SEO

I feel it is a bit expensive for my minimal use, but it always works. At one time I upgraded to use it as an online store but that was too much effort for my minimal sales. After talking to a Squarespace rep we decided to stay at the yearly rate for the items provided. Squarespace continually gets good reviews so I am OK with the costs and the consistent view of my artwork. I am happy with the of ease of operation, performance and reliability. I wish there was a real operator that you could talk with directly. The email asks and answers are good, just not timely as they sometimes take several sessions.

I think that the team at Squarespace are helpful and easy to deal with. I have had nothing but great service from them and highly recommend them.

I love that square offers so many modes and features, everything from banking to bookkeeping, e-commerce to brick and mortar and so much more. Having an all-in-one pos system like this is my favorite part about it. Cuts down on the need for endless apps because with square it's already here.

We use Square POS in our shop for everything at the counter. Cards, tap, cash, all go through it and the reports at the end of the day are straightforward. I like that I can quickly see sales by item and time of day from my phone. Staff picked it up fast and we rarely have issues with it.
