UPDATE: Shopify’s Trademark Infringement Process Shopify has taken down the infringing website and protected my Australian Trademark (IP) - Shopify removed the website completely. I am very satisfied with their follow up and policies. I wouldnt hesitate to utilise them for my website in the future - specifically for this reason. It took some time to obtain this result but I am very happy with their customer support and policies. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I am extremely disappointed with Shopify’s handling of an ongoing trademark infringement matter. I am the owner of the Australian registered “Aroma Bay” trademark (Trademark No. 2578574 ) and have formally reported another Shopify store ('Aroma Bay Luxury Candles' Australia) for using my trademark without authorisation. Shopify investigated the complaint and subsequently contacted the store owner, advising them to stop the trademark infringement and warning that their Shopify store could potentially be taken down if the infringement continued. Despite this concern being raised approximately one month ago, their website remains operational and the unauthorised use of the “Aroma Bay” name continues. I will now be seeking legal action in relation to the unauthorised use of my registered trademark and will be pursuing the matter against the operator of the infringing business. However, Shopify also has a responsibility to provide meaningful protection for legitimate trademark owners using its platform. Once a trademark infringement complaint has been submitted, investigated and the merchant has been formally notified, Shopify should act promptly where the infringement remains unresolved. At a minimum, Shopify should have an effective process for suspending or restricting accounts that continue to use another business’s registered trademark without authorisation after receiving a formal infringement notice. Small businesses invest considerable time and effort into building their brands, and registered trademark owners should not have to repeatedly chase a platform to have obvious infringement addressed. I am posting this review so other trademark owners are aware of my experience with Shopify’s trademark infringement process. Shopify — I, and millions of Shopify users, would appreciate an explanation as to why this Trademark infringing account remains operational despite the trademark complaint and notice already issued?

I was having trouble with a terrible company that misled mean item and being very difficult if impossible to give me a refund without posting the item at own expense to china…( not Alteringham where it came from!) A lot of these negative reviews are about poor experiences with companies that use Shopify's platform. It's up to everyone to research any unknown company you do business on-line with, no matter who the site is hosted by. As a retailer, I could not be happier with how easy it is for a smaller on-line company to integrate different functions. Shopify has been a lifesaver for us and our revenue has grown considerably at a reasonable cost

Shopify is a commerce platform that you can trust. Their AI, Sidekick, is user friendly. It does not go in circles like AI Tom from Sellvia. The store owner is in total control. From finding the right suppliers to setting up payment system, to complex website designs, Shopify got them all. Shopify is upfront and direct with their fee structures. There is no surprises and no hidden fees like Sellvia. Their setup is straight forward and simple. You do not need programing at all. IMO it deserve be nominated for Best Ecommerce Platform of 2026 Award.

Wix is easy to navigate, even with complex formatting. I tried another platform and was restrained by its limitations and complex navigation. Wix makes it easy, and if I'm stumped, help is quickly available.

I'm from the 1900s and computer challenged to say the least, but building a website using Wix for my non-profit ladies group was a pleasant experience. They have a large selection of templates to work from and many extras to create a professional looking website. I love the ability to create events pages with customizable registration forms and downloadable spreadsheet with all my attendees information. QR codes are easy to make and add to our physical promotional materials. Keep up the good work.

Wix has a lot of helpful tools to help generate a successful website. There are a lot of applications and integrations that help the user to engage.

Wix and I go back a long way... I think I may have been their 1064th customer... so that's a good few years ago(!) when anyone wanting to have a website had to write code, or know someone who did... It was glorious from the start, albeit now there are so many more whistles and bows than there were then. The fact that it's so user friendly, so possible to create with the WIX tools, made it easy, took away the frustration, and definitely upped the speed. Now with the AI assistant, I guess it's even easier... Further, and this is the real clincher, if you get in the weeds you can speak to, wait for it, a real human being, on a real phone, in a real place, who will talk you through it. Highly recommended. They deserve all the success they now enjoy.

Even if someone had zero knowledge of designing a website beforehand I feel they would be fine using Wix, and their customer service is great should you ever run into issues you cannot resolve yourself with the help and AI functions.

Filing a dispute for an unknown/unrecognized charge on my square account was surprisingly fast and easy. Then to my surprise my dispute was resolved in my favor on less the 24 hrs., and the money was refunded back into my checking account immediately. There was no hassle, no back and forth emailing, no forms to fill out further explaining my issue/dispute. Square gave me the benefit of the doubt, believing me wehen I said that I was unaware of the charge, a gesture not often given these days. I appreciated the effortless and hassle free dispute process.

I have been using Square for 4 years. This was going to be a bad review. But Square actually took care of my concern in a matter of hours and not days like I expected. I had a larger than normal payment from an out of state client. I use Square for estimates, invoicing, banking crypto, and I like the sales reports. This client paid an invoice I emailed by clicking on the pay now button. Square froze my account and sent me an information request. It seemed silly at the time because all of the information they asked for is all in their system since I use them exclusively for my business. But I filled in the information. Then I called customer service and they explained that it would take a few days for the investigation to be completed. I was ready to start using my local bank for cc processing. But then a couple hours later, not days, I received an email that the review was completed and my account was fully activated again. Since I understand that fraud is real, I can't really complain about a few hours of inconvenience. Now I know the process. I will take losing the ability to withdraw funds for a couple hours to have the peace of mind. Square is a little expensive. But the platform works great for me. The invoicing app is straightforward and allows for custom logos and disclaimers. I would recommend Square to anyone.

They do payments, but the new AI tools that are coming out and the new changes, have made Square my personal operating system for my business. There are new features each week, and when I compared my processing rates, if I had to pay for all of the marketing and tools, I would be paying more to use someone like stripe. Very happy now since 2017.
