Customer service can be life-sucking. I can only imagine how tedious amateur site admins can test one’s patience. As I wait for my site to propagate, I am reminiscing on the many brutal customer service experiences I have endured as a consumer. So much so, that I dread contacting customer service of any kind. I begin to smile at the laughable absurdity of the most unbelievable experiences. This one, on a very early Saturday morning, was quite different because of Jonathan. My queue wait was reasonable, and I was greeted by this pleasant voice that immediately calmed my panic. I know not what to do in the back back end. I can screw around on Shopify and things seem to work and look good. But what the hell is a DNS, what did I do to it, and how much is it going to cost to fix it. The call was smooth, again, not something I am accustomed to. Jonathan was so knowledgeable and immediately knew what the problem was and how to fix it. As I now know pointing the site to the correct thing is somewhat straight forward but can be complicated if you don’t know what you’re doing. But I know a guy and his name is Jonathan. Abracadabra presto chango my life is right again. He did not mock me for my lack of knowledge. He patiently explained the answer to every question I had. He made me feel like I did the right thing by contacting support. He checked all the boxes for what I think is the right thing to do when helping a customer. I really hope I get to speak him the next time I call.

They passed me through three different people to try to help me through interfacing with a Microsoft (GRRR!) product.
