I am with AMEX since 1997 it was the only institution that didnt closed its doors on me when my finances crashed. And currently through Blue Card services just won a dispute with a scam company (Silverton) for me. This dispute took 3 months. AMEX costumer servivce inside the webb page is absolutely great and inmidiate. It deserve 5 stars.

I know I'm running against the crowd but....
I know I'm running against the crowd with these comments but what can I say other than I have been treated very well by American Express. I always seem to be able to get through to a human being very quickly and that is very rare in my dealings with any company nowadays. They always answer my questions pleasantly and efficiently. And in two disputes with companies over charges they have acted on my behalf brilliantly and sorted both of them out. So I can only call it as I see it and let's hope this review doesn't lead to negative karma and my first bad experience with them!

Exemplary support following traumatic fraud
I was the victim of an APP scam on Jan 22nd, with the caller appearing to be the fraud team from my bank (nationwide). As the scam was done through Apple Pay money was taken from both this and my Amex account. The Amex team dealt quickly and efficiently with the fraud, with investigation concluded, card resent and money reimbursed within days. The customer service agent, I think named Revake, was swift and helpful in ensuring the phone and accounts were secure, and Amex has spotted the fraud and message even before I was aware what was happening. One week further on, this experience stands in such contrast to the other bank involved I felt I had to leave a review for Amex highlighting that service and support from them around this APP fraud was simply exemplary and made a very difficult and stressful situation much less so. I am extremely greatful.

Highly recommended!
I've found American Express to be exceptionally courteous and flexible, with customer-friendly policies and fair conditions. Communication is proactive and customer service is available day and night. Always helpful and understanding, as long as you stay in touch regularly.
I notice some reviews are negative, but in my experience, AmEx is very accommodating if you communicate openly with them. They even give you a call as a reminder before any issue escalates, which I really appreciate.
I hope AmEx continues just like this. Highly recommended!
Review of American Express Platinum Business Card
I have been using the American Express Platinum Business Card for several years. While the benefits such as airport lounge access and airline points are great, they are not what truly make this card exceptional.
During a recent trip to Bali, my wife had a serious accident. I contacted American Express, as our card included travel insurance, and I was genuinely amazed by their professionalism and compassion. The team immediately took control of the situation, guiding us through the complex and often confusing Balinese healthcare system. Their medical team became involved and strongly advised against an expensive spinal surgery that a major hospital in Bali was pushing for — advice that turned out to be absolutely correct. Once we returned to Australia, Canberra Hospital confirmed that no surgery was necessary, and my wife is now walking again.
Once the insurance claim was approved, American Express covered all hospital expenses and even arranged an air ambulance to fly my wife from Bali to Canberra. It was an incredible experience, and their support went far beyond what I ever expected from a credit card provider.
I cannot recommend this card highly enough — it truly pays for itself many times over.

I personally have a very good experience with Amex. I had a challenging financial year, last year, and having my credit card saved me. Interest rates are a bit high in my plan, but it's what we agreed initially. It was my first credit card experience, as before I applied to another bank and they rejected it, (although they approved me a year later). But I'll be forever grateful with Amex for approving my application first. Thanks to that I was able to do a lot of things I wouldn't been able otherwise, and to go through some challenges during that year while changing jobs and others.
Best credit card service
Just wanted to write a review to state that most customer service experiences I have had with AMEX, have been excellent. An example today, I lost my wallet and I'm travelling from the UK to Thailand. Simple web chat and they're sending replacement cards to my Thai hotel. Not problems, no issues. I've been waiting for my other card providers to contact me back for over an hour now.
While they are not perfect (who is), I've found interactions with them help pleasant and easy.
