I switched this past year from QBO
I switched this past year from Quickbooks Online. As a dentist in a small office, I was using maybe 10% of the features of QBO. Xero is a much better fit for me. It does my basic accounting and I'm saving about $500 a year with the switch. I think it is faster overall as well. The reconciling part especially goes much faster. So far my accountant has been better at detecting and correcting errors. (We had an error in QBO that the accountant couldn't figure out about 2 years ago (it was probably an error by the program itself) and we had to re-reconcile a whole year of transactions.) I am glad we made the switch and I highly recommend this service.

I had trouble with multi factor authentication to log into Xero. Support assisted me, after checking and verifying all needed to make sure that everything was legit before reset. This gives me great trust in Xero that they treat our Companies information as extremely private so that nobody can just ask for reset and get access to our data base.

Good for my S Corp payroll
I elected S corp status for my agency earlier this year and quickly realized I was in over my head with the payroll requirements. You can't just pay yourself however you want anymore - you need "reasonable salary," withholdings, quarterly taxes. I'm not an accountant but Gusto walked me through everything. The setup process helped me figure out what a reasonable salary should be based on my industry and revenue, set up the withholdings, and got me registered with the state tax agency. Took maybe an hour total. The payroll runs automatically on my schedule. Taxes get calculated, withheld, and paid automatically. Easy to pay yourself both salary (with taxes) and distributions (without payroll taxes). You can do both from the same dashboard. This was confusing as hell when I was researching how S corps work, but Gusto makes it simple. If you're a solo founder or small agency owner who just elected S corp status, don't try to DIY this.

Every aspect of using Gusto from setting up in the platform, onboarding employees, and running payroll has been exceptional. I switched from Paychex which was a complete nightmare and I am so happy that I did. Gusto makes it so easy to handle everything on your own including an incredibly helpful AI chatbot. I am new to payroll and to Sage and it can be quite daunting. But I have found Sage to be very customer friendly. The team on the end of the phone are excellent, being knowedgeable and patient and answering all the questions I have. Sage Payroll Amazing
As a Company, Anglitemp have used Sage account packages for over 25 years. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. When you ring them, they put you at ease, and sort out any issues. When we decided to move our payroll to another provider our first choice was Sage. The sales team were very helpful which led to a telephone call with Natalie Cade, enablement consultant. Natalie went through all our options, and we asked if it would be possible to have onsite installation and training rather than online. This was agreed and Natalie's help and support throughout this has been amazing. To have someone talk you through everything step by step but to be there in person makes the whole process a lot easier. We would recommend Sage not only for their products, but because they go above and beyond to help their customers.

Customer service which means what it says!
Sage call centre is pretty much the best of its type of anyone I deal with. Phone is answered by a human, help is always easily to hand. I have never had an issue which wasn't handled and solved promptly. It is very clear to me that Sage invest in their people, and understand customer service. I would add that I have been using Sage since 1991!

Recently had to contact the Sage technical team due to an error making it impossible to log in. This was down to my laptop rather than the programme itself. Jordan was very patient, knowledgeable and clear in guiding me how to fix the issue. Compared to other services I have used in the past it was very refreshing that my issue could be fixed so promptly. I didn’t have to hold for hours either which was a huge positive.

I use Sage 50 Accounts and Sage Payroll. I find the software straightforward to use. When I need technical support it is easy, one phone call and done. Sage is the only supplier that I interact with where I can speak to someone on my first attempt. Everyone I have dealt with over the years are experts about their Sage products. I consider Sage staff as being the best trained people that I have ever interacted with. I highly recommend Sage for your accounting and payroll software needs.
