She was incredibly helpful, showing us how to create invoices, sort out our chart of accounts, record expenses properly, and handle things like profit and loss as well as travel expenses and mileage. Quote Duplication Troubleshooting
The more capable a system is, the more complex it can be to use. A seemingly simple task such as duplicating a quote but changing the customer from Customer A to Customer B was just not working. The system would basically end up in an endless loop of trying to save, but unsuccessfully. There were no error messages indicating why the task couldn't be completed. Sam was able to quickly troubleshoot to determine that the issue was specifically with Customer B. Customer B had different sales tax settings from Customer A. That difference interferes with quote duplication. Good to know and be aware of.

The issue I had was that the bank feeds were not refreshing. And so I was not able to reconcile the transactions. This team has been amazingly helpful in being in touch consistently, emailing back and forth, and they made sure the issue was completely resolved. They did not leave me hanging. I appreciate them very much for being prompt, asking for screenshots to make sure how it's looking from my end.

I don’t need to contact Xero Support often, as everything usually works well and I can normally find the information I need through the training tools or YouTube tutorials. However, I was extremely impressed with the support system this time. I was able to book a call with a screen-sharing session just a few hours after raising my issue. Exceptional value for money
Good selection of price plans, particularly for MTD. The software itself is easy to use, with a good selection of reports. Easy to input a trial balance from your previous software. Finally, the support is excellent. Choice of live chat, email, or you can book a call back. They actually called exactly on time. I've used Sage and Intuit for many years, but their price plans for MTD were through the roof! The cheapest Xero price plan was £7.00 per month at time of writing, for MTD. Frankly, that is what made up my mind to go with Xero. The high quality of the software and level of support was a bonus!

Good for my S Corp payroll
I elected S corp status for my agency earlier this year and quickly realized I was in over my head with the payroll requirements. You can't just pay yourself however you want anymore - you need "reasonable salary," withholdings, quarterly taxes. I'm not an accountant but Gusto walked me through everything. The setup process helped me figure out what a reasonable salary should be based on my industry and revenue, set up the withholdings, and got me registered with the state tax agency. Took maybe an hour total. The payroll runs automatically on my schedule. Taxes get calculated, withheld, and paid automatically. Easy to pay yourself both salary (with taxes) and distributions (without payroll taxes). You can do both from the same dashboard. This was confusing as hell when I was researching how S corps work, but Gusto makes it simple. If you're a solo founder or small agency owner who just elected S corp status, don't try to DIY this.

Every aspect of using Gusto from setting up in the platform, onboarding employees, and running payroll has been exceptional. I switched from Paychex which was a complete nightmare and I am so happy that I did. Gusto makes it so easy to handle everything on your own including an incredibly helpful AI chatbot. I purchased a Sage pro table top oven just over two years ago and the convector fan started making grinding noises and some of the interior was peeling . It was just out of guarantee so I phoned customer services and the man I spoke could not have been more helpful . I had lost the receipt from Amazon but was able to email a bank statement as proof of purchase . Within minutes I received an email saying they would replace the oven , all I had to do was print off a return label and drop the oven off at a depot which I did ,The next day a brand new oven arrived ,what a brilliant company . Can’t recommend them highly enough .
