The World Needs More Cassandras!
The support you get from QB is top-tier. If the query can't be answered through AI / Help functionality, instead of sending me through a loop, they quickly identify if I would benefit from speaking to a person - I didn't need to ask. They advised me I would wait less than a minute - and they were right! When Cassandra came on call to speak with me, she listened carefully to my issue and then guided me to share my screen with her. This is invaluable as it helped her direct me to the steps I needed to take to resolve the issue, and ensured I didn't take any missteps. Due to this, resolution of the issue was quick and easy. Cassandra was an excellent role model for customer engagement. She was friendly, professional and engaging in a way that made a 'transactional' call into the highlight of my day!

Really helpful and has improved my confidence
I did not know what to expect as I had been using QuickBooks for 3 months but didn't really understand it. I was asked questions to direct the session and was talked through how to use each section. My understanding was checked regularly and the session went at a good pace. I left feeling really confident about setting up and using QuickBooks.

Still early days for me with Xero, but so far I am finding it a useful way to manage my small business. I muddled through the first week or two by myself, which was a useful learning curve, then I also had a fantastic onboarding call with Ali (which I probably should have arranged earlier!). He listened well, precisely understood the position I was in, and tailored the call to my needs - checking that my set-up was correct, skipping parts I was comfortable with, and answering other detailed questions. 10/10 for Ali.

Summer Kimpton was amazing
I had an onboarding session with Summer Kimpton this morning. I am not great with numbers or technology, so online accounting software isn’t great for someone like me. However, Summer was so patient and so helpful. When my laptop switched itself off, Summer called my mobile instead and continued the call and then signposted me to even further support. It was very helpful and she really went above and beyond my expectations for the call.

I have been using Gusto for 2 years now. As I bring on clients I insist they switch to Gusto if they are with a different processor. Gusto has been attentive, helpful, quick, and accurate for me and I did not find those qualities in other companies. The low price helps as well. My clients are small businesses with less than 10 employees.

I have been using Gusto for the past 2 years but approximately 5-6 weeks ago I stopped receiving the verification text that’s required for login. I have gone round and round between Gusto Customer Service staff and my employer was at its wits end because nothing had changed. Well, my employer refused to just give up but it was a Customer Service Representative named Riva that had the patience and Integrity to resolve this issue. I hate to admit but the error was mine but I didn’t know and no one else took the time to have me go through every possible scenario until the situation was resolved and fixed. I learned something new today, Integrity still Exists!! Thanks Riva

Good for my S Corp payroll
I elected S corp status for my agency earlier this year and quickly realized I was in over my head with the payroll requirements. You can't just pay yourself however you want anymore - you need "reasonable salary," withholdings, quarterly taxes. I'm not an accountant but Gusto walked me through everything. The setup process helped me figure out what a reasonable salary should be based on my industry and revenue, set up the withholdings, and got me registered with the state tax agency. Took maybe an hour total. The payroll runs automatically on my schedule. Taxes get calculated, withheld, and paid automatically. Easy to pay yourself both salary (with taxes) and distributions (without payroll taxes). You can do both from the same dashboard. This was confusing as hell when I was researching how S corps work, but Gusto makes it simple. If you're a solo founder or small agency owner who just elected S corp status, don't try to DIY this.

Every aspect of using Gusto from setting up in the platform, onboarding employees, and running payroll has been exceptional. I switched from Paychex which was a complete nightmare and I am so happy that I did. Gusto makes it so easy to handle everything on your own including an incredibly helpful AI chatbot. And when you can't figure it out, customer service is great and responsive.
