I rang Quickbooks because I needed help having recently transferred a client across. Apart from the extremely annoying automatic phone response which is very unhelpful, I made the mistake of saying it could send me information on the problem and then sent me an article that said it could not help me and cut me off. However when I rang again and asked it not to send me this article I got through to a very helpful lady who guided me through my questions and I was very impressed with the service given and the program itself.

I compare Xero to its closest competitors like this: Competitors took the dinosaur way of managing a ledger and digitized it. Xero streamlines the route from reconciling transactions to insightful financial statements into a one-step process.

Excellent customer service. I had to learn xero for my role in finance at work, they changed from sage to xero. I was part of the transition and did not use sage, I did the xero certification and a day of training with the accounting firm (nhs based) to learn the nhs extras needed. I have been using it at work for 6 months. Xero is an easy to use program, and it’s easy to undo mistakes if you make them. I loved it so much I’ve subscribed for myself, I have a few small businesses that I used to use a spreadsheet to organise. Xero just makes life a lot easier. I tried the 30 day free trial and am now in my first month of using it -I have already had a number emails offering me training and a phone call. The xero certification and training is all free. And looks great on your CV! I have told a number of friends with their own businesses to consider xero, it’s easy to use and well priced.

Xero support is amazing!! They are very quick to get back to you and make issues that seem insurmountable easily solved. They are very knowledgeable and provide links and articles to help you along the way. Their Xero Share enables them to view your screen to help walk you through what has happened and how to fix it. I love Xero, it's the BEST.

Xero is the baseline standard for online accounting software, in my opinion. As simple and user-friendly as it gets and well worth the money.

They are very quick to respond. I had issues for days on accessing my account. Good thing their Facebook page is very responsive, I was assisted promptly. Big shoutout to Samantha! Thank you 🫶 Though on the other note, I think it will be better if they offer live support on their website before logging in just in case for issues like this. Still a 10/10 experience thanks to Sam who assisted me.

There seems to be a lot of negative reviews on here regarding Gusto for payroll services. My experience, on the other hand, has been excellent. Payroll takes exactly 20 seconds for me to run each pay period. I have not had any issues with reporting and the integration with Quickbooks Online makes tax time a breeze. The cherry on top is their generous referral program. Thanks, Gusto!

I use Gusto to run payroll and deal with quarterly reports to my state. My business is just me, but I'm an S Corp, so Gusto takes care of the paperwork side of things so that I do not have to. I like that I can set it up and then not have to think about it. Customer support has always been responsive and helpful also.

Gusto is an easy way to access my paystub and employee information. It was also extremely easy to change the amount I wanted withheld for taxes. In the past (at other companies) it was not an easy thing to do. With Gusto, I was able to make my changes with just a few clicks. Nice job, Gusto!

The ability to find answers so easily, like how to record historical payments to contractors when you've had to give them a cash advance.

The initial onboarding was very intuitive. It was like having a coach sitting right there with me. The deadline and scheduling of tasks that auto setup with alerts was a game changer for me! (ADHD appreciates this). And any time i need to speak with a rep, they are always courteous and patient. I have recommended this platform to colleagues and they have made the switch too! Keep up the amazing work, and you will have a lifelong user!

I am using Gusto for only 1 employee (myself) for a month, the UX is simple and great. Set-up was very easy and pricing is reasonable compared to others for 1 payroll only. I do not do state taxes, just federal withholdings and TX unemployment tax, as well as Solo 401k deductions. I didn't have a lot of interactions with support, but I was able to chat with a few minutes wait. The person was not very knowledgeable, kept sending me link to help files. If things turn south, I will make sure to update my review.

The advisor I spoke to - Tony MacDonald was so helpful. He understood my issue perfectly and first time. He called me back at the time agreed to allow Sage Payroll to complete the backup and we got the issue sorted.

I really like Freshbooks I wish I could use it, only problem is it when I download my bank data it doesn’t download income/deposits. It’s really a slick system and it’s a lot easier to use than QuickBooks. I hopefully someday it’ll have that ability to automatically down all withdrawals and deposits from the bank.
